Are you planning your finances like the ultra-wealthy—or just winging it like most people?
That’s the hard-hitting question at the heart of Episode 291 of Next Level Income. In this eye-opening conversation, host Chris Larsen talks with Eric Miller, a seasoned Registered Investment Advisor and co-owner of Econologics Financial Advisors, about what separates financially free individuals from those stuck in the paycheck-to-paycheck cycle—even at high income levels. Eric reveals that wealth isn’t just about making more money; it’s about having a plan before the money even arrives.
The episode dives into the common pitfalls of traditional financial advice, such as underestimating how much you’ll need in retirement and ignoring the full toolbox of investment options beyond public markets. Eric explains why he helps clients look beyond just ETFs and mutual funds and instead build strategic, diversified portfolios that often include real estate, private equity, and even whole life insurance as a foundational asset.
One of the most compelling parts of the episode is when Chris shares a personal story about the impact of life insurance on his own family and how that experience changed his investment philosophy. If you’re a healthcare practice owner—or any high-income earner—this episode will challenge your assumptions and provide real-world strategies for preserving, growing, and protecting your wealth. Eric’s reminder is clear: most people don’t fail due to lack of income, but rather due to a lack of strategy.
This episode is a must-listen if you want to create a financial future that is proactive, not reactive.
