Next Level 332: Why the Operator Is the Investment with Dani Lynn Robison

Dani Lynn Robison grew up poor but, as she puts it, rich in love. Her parents bought her first trumpet at a pawn shop, and music took her to college, to Walt Disney World, and onto cruise ships, where she finally met her husband after a hurricane diverted both of their ships to the Bahamas. Then one day, running an errand for the ship’s art auctioneer, she saw a check bigger than any she had ever seen, and she started asking the question that shaped her career: what do people who build wealth do differently?
In this episode, Chris and Dani talk through that question, the first commercial deal that taught her nearly every lesson an apartment complex can teach, and the needs-based investment thesis behind Freedom Family Investments today.
Dani Lynn Robison is the Founder and CEO of Freedom Family Investments. She specializes in helping high-income professionals move from being “operators” of their own busy lives to “allocators” of capital into durable, needs-based assets.
Her team has collectively managed more than $1 billion in assets and raised $250 million in capital. Dani is the author of the Amazon #1 Best Seller Calm Money Never Panics, and she has been featured on the Dr. Phil platform, The Wealthy Way Podcast with Ryan Pineda, and Dropping Bombs with Brad Lea.
